Can you introduce yourself? What is your background?

My name is Diane and I have been a freelance interior designer for seven years. My career path started in a fairly traditional way, first in a company where I worked in the production of images for films. I then moved to the luxury retail sector for eight years. It was an experience that gave me the opportunity to work on scenography and staging projects. It was there that I developed a real passion for space planning, exploring the effects of different combinations of colors, materials and shapes.

In 2017, when my third child was born, I decided to start my own business to better manage the balance between professional and personal life.

How would you define your style? What inspires you?

I would define my style as elegant, classic and colorful. I prefer to avoid too cold or very contemporary decors. What I like is to create a mix between eras and styles, by designing spaces that are both cozy and dynamic thanks to the mix of colors and textures. I find it particularly interesting to mix wools, silks, cotton, various types of wood and different metals. This combination of materials and colors creates an enveloping and welcoming environment.

My inspiration comes mainly from historical periods before ours. My university studies in history, with a DEA focused on the history of architecture, influenced me a lot. Although I can integrate some contemporary elements, I am especially attracted to the classical interiors of the 16th century, the era of Napoleon III, and the Art Deco era. These periods have something special that speaks to me enormously.

Among all your projects, is there one that particularly marked you, of which you are most proud?

This is a difficult question because I appreciate each of my projects for different reasons. However, if I had to highlight one, it would probably be the Tocqueville project. This project was a kind of springboard for me, a turning point that allowed me to gain visibility quite quickly thanks to the press.

Beyond this, each project is special and challenging. I really enjoy the excitement of the first moments, when everything is still possible and we have the opportunity to completely transform a place. Each new project is an adventure, a chance to create something unique.

What faux fur products from Maison Prélonge caught your attention as an interior designer?

The faux fur products from Maison Prélonge that I particularly liked are those in the colors Chestnut and Glacier. I find that these natural colors are both elegant and classic, and they fit discreetly into any interior.

As for the products, I am very attracted to the cushions and the blankets. They are superb and bring a touch of comfort to a sofa. They are also an excellent gift idea. And then, there is this slightly original side, bold but always chic, which makes all the difference.

Can you explain how Maison Prélonge faux fur was incorporated into one of your recent projects?

I really liked your collaboration with Little Cabari, which is a brand that I frequently include in my projects. The combination of materials was particularly successful for a child's bedroom that I recently decorated. The harmony between the colorful patterns of Little Cabari and the softness of the faux furs of Maison Prélonge created a perfectly balanced ensemble.

I often design children's bedrooms, where it is essential for me to add finishing touches that harmonize the space. This collaboration between your two brands fits perfectly into this type of universe.

Do you have a decorating tip that our customers can easily reproduce at home using Maison Prélonge products?

A simple decorating idea with Maison Prélonge products would be to use a blanket. Rather than folding it, you can, for example, drape it over the armrest of a sofa. This not only gives an aesthetic appearance but also adds a touch of originality to your interior.

What drives you in the creation of your projects?

What excites me about creating projects is the possibility of transforming places into refined and unique spaces, where every detail tells a story. Seeing the incredible transformation of a place from start to finish is fascinating. What motivates me in this job is taking any space and transforming it into something completely different, where every element is sublimated.

Details like the shape of doors, windows, and other small touches have a huge impact. These elements can completely change the atmosphere of an interior, and that's what makes the process so exciting.

Future projects in sight…?

Yes, I already have several apartments in progress and a house in Paris. These are beautiful projects, quite ambitious and that require a lot of time, because the renovation requires a lot of care and attention to detail. Each project has its own challenges and that's what makes the process interesting. I'm really looking forward to seeing how each of these spaces will transform and come to life. It's always a great satisfaction to see the final result after so much effort and creativity.
